What we look for in a health blog for Checkup Today

Yes, you can still submit your blog to Checkup Today’s Health Network. If there isn’t a topic or category available yet we can certainly create one for you.
I thought it would be nice to list some of the qualities that I look for in a blog so that maybe you can see where I’m coming from when I stop to consider your blog for this network.
One thing that is a sure turn off to me is a blog that is messy and cluttered. If your blog has too much stuff in the sidebars it tends to look a bit on the spammy side. It confuses people to the point where they are not really sure where to look. A messy blog is NOT eye candy and only works to turn people off FAST.
You can tell when somebody is on top of their blog not only by how they maintain it but what type of participation they put into those that they are linking to. In other words, what you list in your side bar is hopefully not something that you just threw up.
On my blogs I tend to put everybody that I link to in my news reader and time permitting I read your blogs the first chance I get. If your subject line is interesting then I tend to click all the way through the news reader.
Something that I would like to see more of within the Checkup Today community is for folks to subscribe to those blogs that have been accepted into the community with a little more participation. The more you participate the more people you will attract to the network. The more people you attract the more strangers that will find your work!

I would LOVE to have you guys on board! I love the look of your blog as well as the subject. I hope you guys have room for some checkup today bling. That is a must in order to be in this little blogging community. Also, if you have any friends that you would like to recommend that would be great! Point them in this direction.
