I do write about HPV

October 26, 2007 |

I am working with theHPVtest.com and I saw that on several occasions, you wrote about HPV. I thought you might be interested in a press release distributed by McGill University. According to a new study from the New England Journal of Medicine, the HPV test is more accurate than the Pap in detecting cervical cancer. Here’s a snippet from the release:

“The study concluded that the HPV test’s sensitivity — its ability to accurately detect pre-cancerous lesions without generating false negatives — was 94.6%, as opposed to 55.4% for Pap.”

The HPV test I’m working with (www.theHPVtest.com) is the only FDA approved test on the US market. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the release. I hope this is beneficial to you and your readers. - Tracey Markow

This is a note that I received that I felt I could share with you guys. I’m waiting to hear more about getting the entire press release and making that available to you through Sexual Health Buzz. When I do receive the press release I’ll be sure to post it here for your convenience. Thanks!

PS Not only to I write about HPV whenever the opportunity arises but we also discuss it on the message boards. If you’d like to check those out some time you are more than welcome to! Here are those links: HPV Message Board & Picking Up the Pieces
