Many people say that altering the diets of their Autistic children helps drastically reduce many of the mannerisms (symptoms? characteristics? behaviors?) that they exhibit. For some it is a calming effect, for others there is improvement in speech or motor skills. Whatever the outcome, if altering the diet works for you then I say it’s a good thing.
Sometimes it can be hard to find items that are gluten free. Stores like Whole Foods may have a good selection, but if you don’t live close to a store like that then you may be wondering what to do. Today I found an encouraging answer – one of the most well known brands in America has a pretty full line of gluten free products and this brand is readily available at places very convenient, such a Walmart – isn’t that great!?!
Better Crocker – yes, I said Betty Crocker! While these aren’t exactly entire meal ideas, these products from Betty Crocker are a great supplement for side dishes, snacking, and dessert. Check out the website Live Gluten Freely where you will find a full list of products that are gluten free – most of which you will be able to find at your regular local grocery store.
I just think it’s great that more companies are recognizing that people want more gluten free products!
You can follow Betty Crocker on Twitter @BettyCrocker
*This was not a paid post, I truly find this a great thing and have offered up my opinion on it. There has been NO compensation whatsoever.

Yes, that’s right! We have a section in this health directory for any site, blog, group or resource on that net that wants to be part of it. Believe it or not people have questions about sexually transmitted infections and need to be able to find the answers that they are looking for. So far we have three resources for you to check out!
1. Herpes Help – Because having an STD does Not define you!
2. Living Sphere – Information and Support for People Living with the Herpes Virus.
3. Sexual Health Buzz – Enjoying safer sex one condom at a time (A Yoshi2me.com Blog)
Does this blog template put you on the dizzy side? I was looking at it the other day and realized that it was making me dizzy. I don’t know if it’s the fact that the post titles seem blurry to me or what? What about you guys? Is this layout making you dizzy? I think I may be on the hunt for a new layout. I don’t think I like this one as much as I thought I did when I first found it.
Today I’m going down the list of health related sites, blogs, or groups and I’m looking for that link back. I know it seems like a lot to ask but this networking stuff just does not work if it’s not fairly reciprocated. I know many of you are still sporting the Checkup Today banner but that’s either because you truly do want to support in the effort OR you really have no clue what’s been going on lately because you haven’t had much time to check it all out.
In a nutshell… I moved everything from Checkup Today over to Blogs Rule thinking I was going to delete Checkup Today. Then I decided… why not keep Checkup Today for all things health related? It could be a health directory. Why Not? S0… if you are linking to Checkup Today in show of your support: I Thank You. If you are linking to Blogs Rule in show of support: I Thank You. If you are linking Checkup Today and you’re a health related site I can’t wait to introduce you.
Lastly.. I’m going through the sidebar and removing links that I think are just unsure about what their goal is in connection to this health directory type of network. It probably means you weren’t linking back at all and for that I am sorry. You are more than welcome to reapply if that is something you would like to do. We would love to have you back. Before you reapply please make sure your links are in place. Thanks for understanding.
If you haven’t already figured this out about me I am always looking to streamline and clean things up. If the purpose of a site has been lost then chances are that I will get us back on track. That’s the whole point – is it not?
Blogs Rule: Cuz That’s How We Roll [Blog Directory]
It’s the cool, hip, brand new blog network. Yes! The new kid on the block.
If you are a blogger then what are you waiting for? Go Join It Already!?
Link to it or post the banner and then tell somebody you did! We’ll list you in the appropriate category and if that doesn’t exist we’ll let you name the next one yourself!
Hop To It!
By now I’m sure you have heard about what happened in Haiti:
The 7.0-magnitude earthquake caused thousands of buildings to collapse in Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince, trapping untold numbers in tons of rubble. While estimating the number of casualties was impossible, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said, “Clearly, there’s going to be serious loss of life in this.” HT: Fox News
Below is a listing of legit organizations with which you can give to knowing that your donation will go directly to the relief efforts in Haiti.
You can also give your local churches a call and find out what they have planned in order to help with this tragedy in Haiti. Many times churches will put together a package to send to any of the organizations that I have listed above.
Shut Up and Post! – That’s right!
Shut Up and Post! STD Message Board – It’s a health related forum that will be listed on this health related directory! Shut Up and Post! STD Message Board has a catch phrase too: Think Outside the Condom and Promote STD Awareness.
As long as people are having sex OR being sexual you must have a discussion about Sexually Transmitted Diseases. People need a place to talk about this stuff. Some of the forums are private and for members only and other parts of the forum are public.
If you are thinking you couldn’t possibly ever find yourself in an unexpected situation of finding out that you have an STD.. Think Again! Even in the most committed relationships this issue can sometimes pop up. The reason for that is because people often assume that they are free and clear when reality and accurate testing says something totally different.
When was the last time you were tested for any and all STDS? Did you know that routine STD testing does NOT include testing for all STDS? The next time you assume you are free and clear you had better ask yourself one question: Am I sure I know exactly what I was tested for?
Shut Up and Post! STD Message Board – Sexual Health Buzz – Yoshi2me.com – It’s all part of the same network! We are totally focused on sharing information, squashing those rumors and lies, and helping people! Happiness Is Helping Others! That’s Our Motto!
We list forums on this network too! The first forum we have listed is Blog Talk Tips. Blog Talk Tips will get listed on our sister site Blogs Rule because there will be a forum category over there too. Believe it or not you can do a lot of networking on a forum no matter what the topic is.
Blog Talk Tips is for the semi-serious blogger that would like to network with other bloggers about how to blog stuff, the best blog technology, blog gadgets and gizmos, the best blog networks, when to blog, how to blog it when you feel it, and more!
If you are not sure how to do something OR you just want to run an idea by others for feedback this might be the place for you. Need some participation on a HOT topic you’ve blogged? Just let the members know and we’ll check it out for you and if it’s really good, we can even leave a comment. If you are new to the blogosphere, blogging and would like to expose yourself and network with like minded bloggers, introduce yourself and share your blog. Looking for a little bit of blog feedback and constructive blog critiques? Post it and we’ll check it out for you.
All bloggers from all walks of life are welcome so long as you do not join just to spam the group. We want you to promote your blog but don’t over do it or we might think you’re trolling to try and sell something. Please, let’s not talk about anything illegal-gambling- OR hatefully-adult-in-nature, ok? Who knows, we might even cultivate some brand new friendships that wind up generating positive ultra quality blogging.
What are you waiting for? Come on in, say hello, introduce yourself, tell us where you’re from, and share your blog. We’re looking forward to meeting you! Don’t forget to invite your friends.
Checkup Today is a health directory. In other words, if your site, blog or group is a health related topic then you are welcome and encouraged to join our directory. If your site, blog or group is about fitness and how you take care of your body then that is considered a health-related topic as well. You can choose your button on our bling page!
Since I like to network with others that have projects of importance going on via the Internet I have also created a “Forums” and a “Networks” section. Personally, I am one that likes to support what others are doing and love it when that passion for networking is reciprocated.
If you are linking to Checkup Today will you please let me know? As such I will be going through my links and making adjustments as they need to be made. If you were once listed and would like to remain listed please contact me via our contact form and let me know. Thanks!
PS For those that want to support the effort of our Health Directory we have a Supporters Section which is why you see blogs and/or sites that are not health related listed on Checkup Today. (Wanted to clear that up.)
Blog Mommas says to take a break, share your blog, share your Mom stories, and share the fun! Pretty Darn Cool if I may say so myself!
I would consider Blog Mommas to be a great network listing of blogs. There is a listing of Great Blog Dads too. Blog Mommas is home of the Tuesday Tip Jar! Blog Mom also puts up posts of interest throughout the week.
The other thing about Blog Mommas is that I get to contribute posting stuff. I Love It! Sometimes I will put up a cross post from one of my other blogs and other times I just ramble about this, that and the other.
If you enjoy networking with other bloggers this would be the perfect place to start as far as getting your blog listed. All you have to do is post the Blog Mommas button on your blog and send Blog Momma a note asking her to list your blog.
